arm rest USB and bluetooth on 2008 Nav CCC

Hi

I seem to have USB in arm rest which does nothing. Also, cannot select bluetooth enabled on iDrive. I was told that bluetooth/usb module is in boot but have nothing there - not even disconnected wires. Very odd as phone controls do exist on steering wheel.

Any clue?

Remove the cover on the left side of the hatch. What is in there?

I've got 7 seater. If I open the left hatch there is nothing like this in it. I do have NAV but no HD radio.

If I stick my hand behind the panel still don't feel any module there.

Is that before the wheel arch or after?

Where exactly are you looking? Here is where you find all that stuff in the pic above...

Post a pic of your dash. Do you think the nav is aftermarket?

I've got standard large screen CCC NAV module. in my arm rest is AUX which works and USB which is dead. No bluetooth works yet all controls are on the steering wheel. In the boot - there is nothing. Not even loose cables or connectors. If I get a chance I will take a pic of it. Behind a hatch on left side of boot is just empty space which I use for storing tools.

Use VIN decoder to confirm you have the 6FL and bluetooth options

Seems I don't have this option. Looks like someone has retrofit this. I opened the panel and USB cable goes nowhere. Where is the best place to find wiring diagram? I've got a few things to fix here. The cd changer in glow box does not work, passenger heated seat does not work. Sounds like someone fitted armrest with rear climate control which is not connected either. Could really do with wiring diagram.

I wonder if you got an interior swap. That would explain the different console. USB and aux wiring runs to the left side of the hatch to a MULF 2 HI. Signal then goes up the fiber back to the CCC. MULF can also do bluetooth phone when coded correctly and BT antenna and mic have been added.

DVD changer in the glovebox also uses the fiber to transmit some of the signal to the CCC so check your fiber first before wasting time on the MULF. Feel around above the left rear wheel well for any pre-wiring that may be there. US models seem to get that more than the rest of the world.
