AC compressor control valve location?
My AC started turning off after running for 5-10 minutes of driving so I took it in to an independent mechanic. They vacuumed the system and added 26 ounces. It would sit and idle with the AC running, but as soon as you drive it kicks off. They are getting a code that calls a fault in the air compressor control valve. I can find the.part on Rock Auto, but I can’t find where it’s located on realoem. Can someone tell em where it’s located?
Thanks, Milan 2011 35d |

The compressor control valve is located in the compressor itself, and is not listed as a separate part thru the dealer, or part suppliers. it is available thru a specialty A/C supplier online. They run about $65-80 ea; and requires removal of the compressor to replace the valve which is located on the engine side of the compressor. If you have a lot of miles on it already; you may want to just replace the whole compressor. The labor is the same either way...
