when a module asserts a "wake up" command, the car wakes up.

Open a door, a trunk... these will wake up the car.

My hypothesis is that some module is erroneously asserting the wake up and THAT causes your tcu or combox to drain the battery

The way to troubleshoot is to hang a computer on the bus to see- over the course of 6-10 hours, what modules are activating.

Do I need ISTA for this or INPA will do?

I'm going to shutgun the TCU. I put F136 back in, disconnected the TCU, no High drain the morning after. Found one on ebay with exact same part number, should be here tomorrow. I also checked with DIS 57 and no fault are showing up...

Got the TCU, installed it, no coding and all seems to work, will see tomorrow morning... Anyone know what the blue connector on the TCU is (antenna I guess) I had a heck of a hard time to get it out... Newtis.info show the 4 of them but not the color...

I think the TCU did the trick. 3 morning in a row without the High battery drain message. Now another issue, I don't have comfort access, my keyfobs work intermittently... One of them is brand new, they work for a couple days, then out of nowhere, stop locking/unlocking doors... a day or 2 later, they just begin to work again... any ideas?

I get this high drain warning once in a blue....

...but lately, with the car off and I leave my doors/ hatch open for a few minutes... It kills the battery. Car doesn't start and I have to give it a quick jump. Does this mean my battery is toast?

I would say yes, although we had to replace the battery within a year of getting the car so we didn't really get to see the full symptom set of it declining.

Side note, and way off topic, but is there an easy way to disable the motorized hatch? We were camping and I overloaded the cooler so we just left it in the car......lots of opening and closing of the hatch and after 3 days of that, we got a high battery drain warning when we went to leave and I had to reset the clock. It would be nice if we could just disable it if we're in a similar situation again.

I think that motorized hatch uses a lot of energy. I did that just a few times with the car off and it totally killed my battery...

Hey guys, after fiddling with the car hatch problems today I noticed that there's a small Mic Hanging on the Rearview Mirror, never noticed it before, I think the previous owner had some sort of Parrot Handsfree Installed, could this be somehow the source of my battery problems? The car also started having a female voice prompt that keeps saying "Connection Problem" when it's locked, I have a feeling this keeps the car awake? Anyone familiar with this?
