key fobs intermittent

Now another issue, I don't have comfort access, my keyfobs work intermittently... One of them is brand new, they work for a couple days, then out of nowhere, stop locking/unlocking doors... a day or 2 later, they just begin to work again... I already replaced the aerial diversity amp... any ideas?

Those are the ones that dont have a replaceable battery- that you need to click into the slot to recharge, yes??

So....I guess we'll have to drag some details out from you to get some perspective.

You say that you have the regular remotes that have a rechargeable battery inside them that requires that they spend some time in the "ignition slot" to get some recharge time since the battery inside the key won't last forever.

I see nothing written that reveals that the remotes have spent anytime in the slot long enough to give them a good charge. Would we be remiss in not asking this? Or get fleeced for assuming that you haven't done this?

Yes, both have spent quite some time in the slot, just came back from a 600+ miles trip...

Ya know....every device I have with a rechargeable battery eventually loses its ability to retain 'like new' charge capabilities.

HOWEVER...OP says one is brand new. And it does the same thing. Hmmm

www.newtis.info, prolly find a description for how they generally work

https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e...system/XMWfMsG

https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e...minals/XnGFECK

Anything of note around this "new" key??? Any programming done? any stories there?

JBE and FRMs can flake out and cause issues. Do you have ANY other electrical anomalies?

The new key fob was bought new from stealer, programmed. It was activated and working properly with my car. It's just that once in a while it will stop working ( same with the original key fob) for a couple days and out of nowhere, start to work again (Note: when they stop working, it's always both at the same time, and same when they start working again).
As for other electrical issue, I had a high battery drain warning when the car was sitting overnight. This was troubleshot to a defective TCU. TCU got replaced and never got the warning again. And to be clear, I was having this intermittent key fob issue prior to replacing the TCU. Hope this make the situation clearer.

Check the connections from the aerial diversity to the CAS module. Check for signs of moisture in your right 1/4 panel cargo area.

I'm pretty sure the problem is with the car, not the keyfobs
