Pre lci backup camera pictures

blndweasel asked that I post some pictures of my 09 backup camera disassembled. My plan was to bypass the original camera and replace it with an aftermarket that would have higher resolution all while keeping the dynamic parking lines. I was expecting to see power, ground, + and - video but this is way more complex than that. Most likely due to the dynamic parking lines being inserted at the camera image.

Do you know where I could find a replacement lens or something for the backup camera? Mine is cracked and it's getting very irritating not being able to see stuff clearly behind me.

You won't be able to replace just the lens - it's integrated with the rest of the camera assembly.

Yeah that camera assembly and accompanying housing is surface mounted to the PCB, would need to further break it down in order to understand where the sensor+lens live, but it must be possible to separate them from the other components/ICs.

It's interesting to note the heating element wrapped around the lens.
