DRL Angel Eye Bulbs/Activation

Hi there,

Just picked up my 2007 E70 X5 the other day and I have a few questions about the angel eyes on the car. On my previous E92 coupe, I could activate the angel eyes by selecting "Daytime Running Lights" on iDrive and this would enable only the angle eye rings. When I do the same on my car, it also activates low beam. Am I doing something wrong here?

Second question, I would like to update the front bulbs to white LED to try to replicate the LCI model, however my angel eye bulbs are not in the same location as other members on here.

I have a 2007 without HID headlights. When I remove the back covers, I can find high beam, low beam and indicator bulbs, I can't seem to find the globes for the rings. Do you know what bulb type/where I replace these bulbs from? Also, I know this has probably been covered many times here, but any suggestions on what bulbs to purchase. I don't really want to spend $100 on LED's, but happy to pay around $20-$50.

Kindest regards
