Well at least you won’t have to worry about opening your sunroof at 80MPH on the toll road and have a mouse land in your lap. It was a little disconcerting until I realized it was dead and crispy. Then it was just creepy

My brain was asking 'How the F did a mouse get blown...' before my eyes finished reading the full sentence.

The incident of the 80 MPH mouse lap dance began with a serious problem with mice — $3,500 engine wiring harness replacement serious. After that I was live trapping mice and feeding the local foxes. I was keeping the X5 locked tight, with the hood up and the engine cover off, to discourage mice from building more nests in the warm engine compartment. But apparently at some point I got forgetful and left the sunroof in vent mode one night….

On the day of the mouse incident, I had left the sunroof in vent mode, as I usually do while parked in an open lot when we are in town. As we came up to speed on the toll road, I tried to close the sunroof. It appeared to be stuck, so I tried opening it all the way. That’s when the dead stow away made its flying entrance.
