EDC Electronic Dampening
2007 E70 X5 4.8 Over the last couple years I have had this for the third time now. The first two I fixed because the connection from the electronic shock to the wiring harness in the wheel well for the drivers front and rear was corroded. So this time my diagnostic app pointed me to the passengers front, so i assumed it was the same problem. The connection there is fine. So it must be the shock itself with the integral electronic satellite or the EDC module I’m assuming. Where is that module and does anyone have any other advice before I change the module and or shock??? |

Click the following link to the online TIS website. Enter the last 7 digits of your VIN, then type EDC into the search box. You should get a bunch of links and one of them should give you a description of the system and its parts...which should then reveal the location and/or instructions on removal or installation etc of the module that controls the EDC shocks and relating components (possibly the VDM control module):

Thank you very much for the link, found the ECU. Any idea where I can get more info on this code from iCarly?
:internal error controller 00635C It’s the right front shock causing the EDC not to work. |
