Changed oil filter housing gasket.
I trackled the oil filter housing gasket on my 08 3.0 X5 this weekend. For me it was a PITA, that plastic outlet piping broke on the rad hose, had to change with an aluminum one from Amazon. Glad that's over. On the oil filter housing or " oil cooler" the bottom bolt wasn't tight enough, so It did spray a bit of oil. I retightened it. That being said is there any way since it wasn't snug 100% that coolant and oil could have mixed in those passages? Or am I just being paranoid and shouldn't bother doing an oil change. My logic says if it already leaked oil before and no issues arose, I should be fine.? despite my careless job at not fully torquing that third bolt on the oil cooler.

Now that I've thought about it again, it was just the oil cooler that was leaking.
