No start, dvd noise

Hi during cold days my 09 x5 would take acouple starts to get going. When it would start it would have a reduced power engine malfunction but after being warmed up I could turn the car off and it would operate normally. i now see I probably should have replaced the fuel pump relay.

So the other night after a day of driving, when I went to put it in the garage it would start and when it did I pushed the gas to keep it from dying and got it in the garage.

The next morning I tried starting it. It would crank start then stall. This was all before I knew about warming up or replacing the fuel pump relay. I tried putting it in gear and giving it gas before it could stall but that did not work. eventually it stopped turning on and stalling and just would crank but not turn on.

Now it may crank but after doing it once or twice, it will stop mid crank and I hear the dvd navigation make a noise immediately after it stops cranking. Ive searched the internet for this occuring and haven’t found anything about it.

So it now has a transmission fault occasionally if it stops mid crank and I hear the dvd noise. It has the icon of the car on a lift with the 4x4 and dsc lights too. I have a stanely car jumper but its crappy. Im just hoping the oddity of the cranking stopping and the dvd noise is just due to a low battery from me trying to start it too much these last two days. My plan is to get a new battery but does anyone else have any thoughts? I also was alarmed to see when it cranks the P switches with the N on the transmission, it flashes back and for but stays in park when Im not trying to start it

Sounds a lot like dead battery symptoms.
