Model ZF gearbox in 09 E70 3.0 sd

Hi, just wandered if any of the X5 aficionados out there have any clue on this one. I have a E70 09 3.0sd and had the tranny serviced last Nov. It threw a tranny error just before covid and has been been laid up. I jacked the front up to deal with other issues and noticed a leak coming from the rear end of the tranny pan. Since things have eased here in the UK I returned it to the garage and they said it was a defective gasket. I originally supplied them a metal pan, gasket, fluids and filter, All ZF. This time I let them order the gasket to save further issues. This is where it went odd as they ordered a BMW one and it was a rubber gasket and incorrect for the pan. I had supplied a paper one when the original service was done. They were trying to find the correct gasket to fit the tranny and assumed like it says on real OEM it was a ZF GA6HP26Z. When they checked the box it was in fact a GA6HP28Z.

I am wandering if anyone has come across this or account for this. The only thing I can assume is that it was replaced at some time and this model box was put in it..

Any input would be gratefully received.

Regards

Stu
