EMISSIONS HELP GUYS PLEASE 🙏
BMW 2009 x5 4.8i. If I swap dme, cas, tcm, keys from a donor car. Do I need the cluster too ? Also passing emissions on USA would it be a problem since the new dme doesn’t have the same vin as registration? |

You should not need the cluster.
You will get a tamper dot which will suggest the odometer might not be accurate but should not cause any problems with DMV just picky buyers. I've followed a few EWS swaps as you are suggesting but never heard of a problem with emissions after but i don't know if it was required for those people. Hopefully somebody will chime in that's done it.

Cluster
That tamper dot is what I’m trying to avoid if I do the swap. I’ve asked this question in 4 different bmw forums and nobody seems to know the answer. Thanks for your input though
