Preventative maintenance on E70 4.0d(N57S)

My car has done 76k miles and apart from oil and fuel filter changes what other preventative maintenance is required on this car. I understand that on some E series like E90 the water pump and thermostat needs doing around this mileage.
What do you guys think I値l need to do in the next 10-20k miles to keep it running well?

Transmission fluid change. If the car runs smooth, i dont see why you would change things.
Be careful with timing chain, apart from this, you re good to go.

Thanks Montela
Was watching a video on E70/E71 and they mentioned water pump but I致e never seen it been mentioned anywhere else. What about transfer case oil and diff when does that need sorting?

Preventative maintenance on E70 4.0d(N57S)

I did my transfer case oil change and rear differential oil and gasket, because my mechanic said so. He told me i ve reached a certain amount of kilometers.
I ve also changed the water pump and thermostats on my e70, because i had a coolant leak. And in my e91, the water pump failed. So, yes, you could change both thermostats and water pump to feel safe.

I知 sure I知 overkill on preventative maintenance... but I did front and rear diff with transfer case and trans at 60k miles and will do them all again at 120k miles.

Went full synthetic (LiquMoly) in front and rear diffs, used recommended BMW fluid in t-case and of course Pentosin in the trans with new filter and pan gasket

I知 assuming that the computer would need to be reset after changing the oils especially the auto transmission oil.

Yes and the mechanic must reset the trans adaptations, to learn the new values, otherwise, the change will not make any difference.

76 to 120k was practically trouble free for me. Had an FRM and the active DEF tank go out but they were covered under extended warranty. Replaced the NOx sensors, urea dosing module under the same extended warranty. Had the transmission fluid/filter, diff fluid and transfer case fluid changed also.

Later, had to replace a couple pressure and temperature sensors in the intake system. Also had to replace the HVAC blower motor, throttle valve, glow plugs and module, engine coolant thermostat and elected to replace the transmission fluid thermostat, replacing the fluid at the same time.

143k miles and it's running well but turbos, intake side and intercooler cleaning will probably be next.

Daily driver, a couple thousand miles a month, frequent trips of over 1000 miles, cross-country trips. I can't complain too much.
