X5-mark is on a distinguished road
E70 2008, 3.0sd sluggish & hesitant below 2000rpm

Hi
I’ve had a bad run with the X5 recently, turbo, rear diff, hand brake module, air bags...
Over the last couple of weeks it’s been hesitant at low revs which is a nightmare pulling out of junctions and on motorways.

I’ve done a couple of things today;

Read codes with Carly ;
Glow plug cylinder control on 1,2,5 & 6
003FF0 - Air flow sensor

So ;
Unplugged the MAF - drives much better
Replugged MAF
Unplugged EGR vacuum pipe - drives much better
Replaced the EGR with one said to be good - issues still there

Currently I have the EGR vacuum pipe disconnected and capped to make it better to drive.

1. Could this do any damage?
2. What could be the reason for this issue?

If anyone has had (and fixed) the same issue or if you have any ideas please let me know.

Thanks a lot
