iPhone Bluetooth intermittent failure. Now no phonebook
When I did the latest update on my iPhone 6s plus, it caused a problem that it was supposed to fix, except I had no issues with BlueTooth connectivity in my '11 X5 E70. Now I had a problem. Specifically, some calls worked, some calls I had to put on speaker in order for the other person to hear me. I crawled through the internet and found some advice that suggested deleting the BMW connection from my phone and "re-pairing" from scratch. I did that today and so far, so good with audio, BUT my phonebook isn't showing up. I read the manual and one issue was "you may have too much data" to be loaded. So, I spent this evening eliminating a lot of numbers of people I have no reason to talk to anymore. But I thought there might be a way to "push" it to add the phonebook on my phone, and came here for any advice... Thank you in advance Ed in NJ

I noticed after updating to ios13 that all my contacts looked like jumbled up characters. So this morning I deleted my phone off of the list and made sure everything was gone from the car. Then deleted the car from the phone too. Repaired and everything is back looking normal.

Good idea!

While I deleted the X5 from my phone, I did not delete the phone from the X5. Makes sense. I'll let you know tomorrow if it worked for me. Thanks ed
