2008 X5 E70 front blower heat/AC

Front blower for heat /AC not working.
I pulled the blower. Tested blower motor with
Out of vehicle 12v, blower runs fine.
Originally found slightly melted plug at power terminal.
Checked all fuses related, on the fuse diagram.
All checked good.
Replaced the common go to choice FSU( final stage unit)
Bought and spliced in, power cable to blower.
Still blower not working.
Head unit checked fine wire continuity from head unit plus thru cable, to the blower plug. Checked good for continuity.

Need more ideas what else to check.
Head unit display SEEMS GOOD.
Blower level changes on display.

Any ideas most appreciated.
