Remote central locking only works from the back/rear side of car

Hi all, mw central locking will only unlock/lock if a stand at the rear of the vehicle or at the rear side windows, I have heard about this being the diversity antenna?
Is this an easy swap job if I get another module? and are they the same compatibility or are there different frequency versions?
