Vibration @ 1900-2300 rpm

I have a 2013 X5 w/M sport package w/73k miles. When the vehicle is under load and hits 1900-2300 rpm that is a nasty growl/vibration/buzz (add whatever adverb you want). The closest thing that i can compare it to is a heat shield vibration. I have read and searched on all the forums, but everyone's solution is totally different... new muffler, new trans bell housing screws, golf tee mod works, vanos, Wastegate, on and on and on.

I absolutely LOVE this vehicle and don't want to get rid of it, especially since i have dropped some major repairs this year (water pump, control arm bushings, belts, brakes). This noise has been the going on since about 40k miles... i didn't bother me since this was my wife's car until about a year ago.

It does not do it in Park or neutral when you rev up to 1900-2300. It only does it on the road when under load.

I have had 1 indy tell me i need an entire exhaust system replacement. Another indy tell me its just the muffler and he actually did the golf tee mod making it even louder when i hit those rpms. Another doesn't want anything to do with it. My issue with getting an exhaust is that the mechanics cannot guarantee that it will fix it. They all say its not worth the $3500 expense of a new exhaust system since they can't ensure me that it will fix it.

I am going absolutely crazy. I have searched for a solution for over 20 hours...Taken it to 3 indy's... spent over $600 and I can't find the problem. Any help would greatly appreciated! Thanks.

guibo or driveshaft or center bearing?

Would only show under load (the pressure from the motor to wheels loads the driveshaft...and vib will transfer up to cabin and down to exhaust.

Wait.

Does it do this at different SPEEDS but always at that RPM???? like hold it in each gear, does it show up at the same RPM but different speeds? I

Yes, i verified this morning. Every gear does this at 1900-2100 rpm. Lower gears 1st-3rd are a little louder than the rest. Thanks!

So vehicle speed independent and limited to engine RPM only?

Correct. RPM only.... when it hits 1900-2100 there is a growl/vibration/buzz. When i slam on the gas the RPMs are high enough that you don't hear it.

That means it cannot be 'driveline' or wheels/bearings.

Its something motor related.

Does your car have those vacuum controlled motor mounts?
