Swapping the Driver seat bottom cushion and leather with passenger side?
I've done seat cushion/foam replacements before in my BMWs, but my major concern isn't the condition of the foam, but rather the wear of the leather on the outside seat bolster. I would like to swap the leather and cushion from driver to passenger side, so the outside bolster would be on the inside in both cases, renewing the look and feel. Any thoughts or experiences? |

Ive wanted to do that on my E39M5 for many years. 95% of the time there’s nobody in the passenger seat...it’s pristine.
![]() Thought about sourcing a UK based used seat. An RHD passenger seat.... Last edited by ard; 02-18-2020 at 02:59 PM. |

I have removed covers on my E90 and it was not difficult. The cover is held on with a bunch of hog ring clips. The cushion may have the passenger occupancy built into it. Check realoem to see what parts are interchangeable between drivers and passengers.
