The BMW charge/voltage control system may in fact starve some items on the buss when the battery is low.


I suppose you could do a deep charge with a proper charger, see if that changes the behavior. If it fixes fora a while, but then it returns, but a new battery.
Vehicle definitely had low battery due to short trips and i was getting low battery messages on iDrive. Battery is 2 years old
I have tried fully charge the battery with charger, but it didn't change behavior. So i suppose battery is not the problem.

ANOTHER thing i found out couple days ago is that when i get "no acoustic tones" message (no sound) and then i restart (or reboot) iDrive by holding radio volume button, sound will start working like normally would.
No need to shuting off the engine or locking and unlocking the car, as i thought.

So the problem could be in CIC ?
