09 X5 30i DLP Plug and Play?

This might be a dumb question but....

When I picked up Bridgette (09 E70), I purchased a used SiriusXM receiver from Fleabay. Had to have the fiber connected and have it coded in by someone local. Worked fine until recently. It has always cut in and out every now and again, going completely silent then coming back after a minute or two. I would say it happened maybe once a month.

Now, it happens every day. Sometimes I can't even change the XM channel.

If I grab another one off of Fleabay, will I have to have that one coded in also, or is it just plug and play, then call SiriusXM with the new radio ID?

It should not need to be coded again. Next time you have the issue, switch over to FM and make sure things are still working with the ccc.

Thanks!

Yeah, I typically move over to my USB playlist or FM radio when it goes out. No audio problems with either of those. Lately, it has gone out every mile or so down the road, so it is definitely getting worse. I may check the antenna connection also as that being loose, I would imagine, would cause this issue.
