Restraint System Faulty error after taking seat out
I know there is nothing wrong and I have checked the connectors, so question is how do I reset this error message? |

Airbag codes need to be reset with diagnostics.

Is it as simple as a generic OBD2 reader, or do I need something more BMW specific?

it is a 'specific' airbag computer.
An OBD2 wont do it...and a BMW specific reader wont do it. There are spectiic airbag readers. (all sorts of sensors besides just airbags) You want something that handles "SRS system" ... the ore expensive foxwells do, like nt630. Not sure about others. |

Update. I purchased a Foxwell NT650 Elite, so that I could do other functions too, and cleared the codes easily. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
