Thigh support motor not working passenger side

Hi forum, we have a 2011 X5. On the passenger side, the thigh support motor does not actuate when the button is pushed fore or aft. No motor sound, nothing. All other electric seat functions work perfectly. Forward, back, up, down, tilt, lumbar all work.

I did some trolling and could not find anyone else with this issue. Plenty of folks with broken worm gears. The difference is that they get a motor turning/sound. I get nothing. Nada.

I checked the fuse box and found no bad fuses relevant to the electric seats.

If anyone have any ideas I would love to hear them.

Thanks in advance.

Bob-

not sure which seats you have, when built, etc..

I think they call it 'depth adjustment' (aka thigh support)

Super easy with the seats removed and on a bench, just like the photos, eh????

Thank you ^^^^

Now I'm wishing I paid better attention in that EE class I took in 1978....ugh!

I did some more snooping and there actually is a sound when I push the button. There is a very faint clicking sound. I wonder if I have a failed relay?

lol

The link I sent shows the seat system. The control **I THINK** actually sends encoded data via the wire 'S-BUS' which the control then decodes and activates each motor to move the right thing.

The thigh booster (aka seat depth) is at "M192" If you click on M192 you will find it lings to a picture of that motor. The connector for M192 is connector X14011

If you got a voltmeter onto pin 1 & 3 of X14011 you would like to see some voltage come on when you select that bolster to move. If you see voltage by no motion, maybe bad motor?

A start...GL
