Update:
hole/tare in hose going from water pump to the head of the engine. Per the indy this is not something that they ever replace. I did have a major oil leak prior to this repair months earlier and they believe the hose could have had lots of hot oil burning this "hole" but are not certain. White gunk in the expansion tank was deemed as normal. Most likely residual oil from the first messy job. Lots of coolant/oil mix in the coolant system. Coolant system flushed again, Hose from pump to head replaced, Coolant filled. $664 at my indy. Cant keep up with this truck. I can't imagine getting a pre-LCI model as they are apparently prone to same issues + more. Ill tell you this, previous owner did little to no maintenance. |

There is not oil in cooling system currently. In November I had a major oil/coolant mixture in the coolant expansion tank only. Oil was covered on the drive belt as well. This was due to Oil filter housing gasket gone bad. Issue was resolved. Hose now going from pump to head was also covered on the exterior with old oil. They are not sure why the hose would have a hole in it could have been from hot oil from previous mess dripping over the hose. Not to sure |
