BMW 5F9A - control-time lifting Error
What is the cause of this problem? I can hear the pump, both bags in the rear are under 2 years old and the car has not driven more than about 15-20k km after change. Where is the air compressor located in these 7 seat x5's? |

under passenger's side seat. Could be the lines, could be the check valve, could be the bags.

OE bags or no-name replacements? Dont assume replacement parts cannot fail....
Soapy water will bubble up with a leak...put in in a spray bottle, apply liberally |

Have now tested both bags and no leak, no leak in the connections on bags or any of the ones on the compressor itself. The compressor starts, but dont raise - so i pulled the hose for the intake filter and nothing happened, just that it pushes air out of this hose and does not suck in. My guess is that the piston rings are screwed so that it needs an overhaul of the piston rings and it will work again. Anyone done this job before?
