Change radio to euro or other region (FM range)

Is there a way to change the E70 (ccc) radio region from one region to another to get full full FM range of the new region?

Ours is the Japanese version, where FM stops at 90.0MHz. Can this be changed to European or Australian so the FM range extends to 108MHz.

I know @ard - just wanted to get a personal opinion here on anyone that did this particular one.

Jap imports tend to have additional hardware around that may make usual methods not work.

On Japanese Mitsubishi Pajero imports there was a box called a frequency expander that you could buy, it was wired into the power feeds of the audio system and then the aerial was fed through it. This allowed the factory fitted radio to give the full UK FM frequency range.
Usually the importer would sort this out along with any other quirks that were needed to meet the laws of the country that was importing the car, such as a rear fog light with an illuminated switch, which is a requirement in the UK but not in Japan.

Some time ago I coded mine for use in Europe. I don't remember if I recorded it in the XO thread I had open at the time. I'll try digging in my laptop to see if I can find the settings used.

EDIT: Here are the setting I coded. These worked fine upon its return states-side as well.
