AWR BMWЯ The Sequel

I figured what better way to log the maintenance on BMWЯ₂ than a dedicated thread.

Purchased 1-11-21 with just shy of 145,000mi.

Has a couple faults that need to be addressed:

1) TC oil wear (only mechanical fault from pre purchase scans). I already bought the fluid I'll be installing this week.

2) interior lights: PO replaced with LED which are amazing but 1-2 are not happy with I'm guessing PWM voltage control so I need to replace a couple lamps.

3) headlights aim for shit: seriously people! Aiming headlights 50' ahead of you at the ground WTF.

Cosmetic things to address:

1) headlights getting frosted will definitely polish them in the not distant future.

2) big crack in the back bumper cover (PO backed into pole it appears). I'll maybe come up with some creative fix for now unless I can find a match color bumper cover for a steal of a deal.

3) minor misaligned headlight cover. Looks like minor front bump that "took out" the license plate holder.

So it was a four hour drive home from the dealer. It was an absolute Joy. Suspension tight as a drum I will do a deeper dive but it feels like parts had to be replaced or else almost exclusively highway miles.

Importantly; zero body squeak and rattle! Wife's 50i '12 has plastic squeaks that I think may be related to the 3ʳᵈ row which I don't have.
The dashboard reported 24.5mpg on roughly 230mi. (napkin math was a little lower I will be checking back into that and calibrating the OBC mpg if needed). That's on the order of 20% better mpg than my 3.0i so I'm pretty happy about that.

I'm going to have wife take my car to work a few times to compare to her 50i on her roughly one hour each way commute.

150*.14=21 vs. 150*.172=25.8 that's an appreciable difference for my round trip to Chicago fuel cost.

Wife borrowed to commute today. 24 mpg on the drive to work. She's concerned something wrong with her 50i because she's been getting more like 18. Winter formulation and 450 ft·lb of torque
