Running Rough Still...

I recently changed my spark plugs and coils and upon replacing them, my X5 would be running about the same as it was before I changed them. I took it to a shop to see what was up and they said I needed to replace the valve cover gasket (b/c of oil in cylinders). The mechanic also suggested I replace my fuel injectors b/c when it would start up, it would start rough and then idle out to be fine once it warmed up. I drove it home and it was driving fine but the next day when I started it up, the misfires came right back. I did just put some injector cleaner in the X5 which helped a little bit, but my CEL keeps blinking after I start driving. I plugged in my CARLY adapter and these are the engine codes that pop up.
0029CC (misfire, several cylinders)
0029D4 (misfire, cylinder 8)
002E2B (ignition coil cylinder 8)
Why would these still be present? I have cleared the codes a few times and they still want to stick.

When you get a misfire on a specific cylinder that bodes well for corrective action.

New ≠ fixed so start with exchange the coil and plug from the cylinder that is giving you an error with one not near it say #5 and #8.

Reset codes and try again.

Improper fuel pressure or a bad ground and cause your symptoms do you have a scanner that will show real-time fuel pressure?

Did you say you were suggested to change injectors?

On n62 I think you can get away with just changing one unlike n63 n55 also maybe no crazy special tool to change so you may be able to just swap to a different cylinder

On my wife's old e53, we chased similar random misfire and after 2-3 treatments with Lucas fuel treatment the problem finally went away (was clogged injector).

I don't think I am able to measure the fuel pressure with the CARLY scanner which is a bummer. I was suggested both the fuel cleaner and new injectors, I should probably run another treatment of the fuel cleaner before I do the injectors. I'm hoping the injectors are just clogged like yours was, this car sat on a lot for a few years before I purchased it and I don't think it has really had any fuel cleaners added ever.

Also good fuel only 93 important. Can you get pure fuel near where you live. If you had ethanol gas sitting in the fuel system for years I would expect a couple tanks of treated gas to clean the injectors.

I use a bottle per half tank.

What SPECIFIC spark plugs did you use?

Your ‘mechanic’ said you might need injectors?!?! Based on ‘it’s starts rough then settles out’?? Find a new shop

For a car that sat for years and doesn't run properly. Good chance injectors are fouled. I would usually say clean before replace.

If your valve cover is leaking oil INTO the spark plug wells, THAT could be a cause of misfires too.

He said cylinder 8 5 I think. Definitely check for oil in the plug well.

How long between ‘when it sat for years’ and now? If it sat for years, then you brought it a month ago, that’s one thing. If you bought it 2 years ago, that’s another
