X5 E70 Brake Lights Fault
I asked my wife to go into the car and step on the brakes, I disconnected the left main harness, put it back in, the dead stage 2 light went on, 6 seconds later it switches off, tried several times same thing, the right tail light nothing happens by doing this. Could it be a Fuse? Will running diagnosis help at all? Please help! |

The LCM will disable any circuit it finds faulty. Did you try different bulb? If the bulb pulls too much current (or possibly too little) the LCM will disable that lamp to prevent self destruct.

I swapped Bulbus around with the same results, I'm evening thinking of just buying LCI Tail Lights from a Junk yard once. I really can't figure this out!

My e53 had the left side marker light noon operational the entire time I owned it. I think it was a defect in the LCM. Did you say you can get the light to light once after resetting codes?

It lights up for a few seconds if I disconnect the harness then re-connect

If you have the ability to code I was just coding out the hot and cold filament check
