Brake Failure - Stiff Pedal & No Assist (Solved)

Well, had the car back for awhile now and can confirm it was indeed the replacement booster leaking vacuum. Have not had any further issues since it was replaced. FCP was quick with their return and refund of the bad part... though it did cost me an additional $900 to have a shop perform the repair a second time. I was not happy about that having spent a couple weekends installing and then troubleshooting the bad out of the box booster.

Oh well, what are you going to do? Just wanted to update with the conclusion/solution.

Dang…! That is in my opinion probably the worst part to come defective from a brand new purchase. Thank goodness the failure was immediately noticeable, and not while traveling. That’s good you caught that. It is a bummer though, when you have extra unneeded expenditures, and wasted time. Better safe, than sorry though.

It's my luck brotha. I could spend my life upset at all the bad luck I have (it's the only kind of luck I have really), but that wouldn't do my family/friends any favors so I choose to shrug it off.
