Why left exhaust tip is dirtier than right?

Just wondering if there is a reasonable explanation. Truck runs fine, bit of a rough idle I need to address at one time.

Yeah, not sure why we call these SUVs trucks sometimes . It's certainly not like a 3 series car...

If the difference is a blacker sooty residue it is likely a rich condition on the left bank or a lean condition one the right bank. There are several other possible causes but air/fuel mixture is where I would start troubleshooting.

Do you ever see black or blue or white smoke with a cold start or when under max acceleration on the road?

I have the N55 engine so just 6 inline cylinders. I never see smoke coming from the tail pipes but will hook up my OBDII and check the fuel trim data just for the hack of it.

It's sort of fake dual exhaust on an L6.
