New E70 in the family

So there’s a new e70 in our family! Just drove her home from Seattle to San Antonio without issue and it was truly a pleasure. She’s a sparkling bronze metallic 2011 50i with a black interior and 76k miles on the clock. The N63 engine is thirsty but also puts out some impressive performance.

So this is my second e70. I had a 07 48i that I truly loved but ended up giving it to my father as he has never had a BMW before. He loved it but had a fender bender where it was totaled. Interestingly, insurance paid out 140% of what I paid so he promptly bought the 2011 e70. He is getting older now so he gave his X5 back to me.

First x5 was named Matilda so this will be Matilda II. I’ll end up modifying her a bit to make her more my own - gloss black grill, fender flares, de-chrome, 21” wheels and maybe lowering. Here’s how she sits now and will also throw in some pics of the old 48i. Click on pics for larger image.
