e71 X6M interior into a E70

Has anyone ever done this swap successfully or heard of it being done?? I have comfort seats in my X5D but an X6M interior became available.

Search realoem for some of the parts. If they are interchangeable it'll show both models in the listing

Im not sure about that....

(Typically this will work for many parts)

Take a console..or a seat..or a door card...that was only ever in at E71, I dont think realoem (or any BMW parts look up) would show it as a valid part for an E70. The difference may be color, or materials- the fit might be fine, but it wont show as a valid number if that specific color/stich/design was never sold/configured in an E70

If I was betting (with Tominiers money) I would say SOME of the items may work. Just two front seats? Maybe. Whole interior? Doubtful.

my 2 cents

I would not expect the floor/roof or even the door cards to swap but I would not be surprised if the seats swap which I'm being is the main interest.

A quick poking around shows the seats and center console parts are the same model numbers e70/71 (not the armrest though, wonder what is different).

To my surprise the front carpet actually is the same part e70/e71 but not the rear.

So: check for each of the parts you'd like to swap. If you change the seats you may need to code them so the car know how to control them. Eg: wife's old e70 had split heat seats with balance control.

Its a beautiful red interior. My interest is in: door cards, dash, all the seats, center console.

Pretty sure if anything, only the seats and the center console if I'm a betting man. But without the door cars and the dash, will not look right for me and not worth the hassles or money unfortunately.

Pretty sure I checked the door card not a shared part.

It's possible it's a minor difference you cold modify to fit but it would be work to pull and swap and see what doesn't line up. Eg did they relocate the door latch handle?
