Smile Replacement Wiper Blade Recommendations for my E70 X5

Hey all,
Hope you're all well. Looking for some recommendations for some replacement wiper blades for my 2012 E70 X5 40D X-Drive. I'm finding that many of the store wiper brands fail too quickly here in the hot Australian climate. A friend of mine recommended a brand called Wipers Direct but I've yet to try them out but they look ok from the website. Would rather have some recommendations from you guys before I go out and spend more money on replacement wipers. We don't really see snow in my area so I don't have to worry about ice/snow performance, just want a set that will last for a while!

I've tried Bosch and a company called Wipertech. All of which failed pretty quickly and started leaving streaks and making noise after a few months.

Maybe I should look for some OEM ones? I don't know

Replacement Wiper Blade Recommendations for my E70 X5

Get 'em from FCP euro. The Bosch I got from them lasted closer to a year but now I bought a replacement set and I can send back the old for credit.

I was very happy with trico but they are pricy. They worked better than any blades ever but once they started to self destruct they lasted 20 minutes.

The Bosch I have now are starting to chatter a bit when dry but I use rain-x fluid (orange) and it leaves a little bit of film that repels water and calms the chatter.

FYI the official TIS from BMW describes how to calm there chatter;

You take two big adjustable wrenches and twist the long bar of the wiper arm to get the blade normal to the window.

The chatter happens if the wiper points toward the direction of motion it needs to be perfect 90° (normal) so it can flip away from travel direction both directions.

I've tried a number of different wipers, on my X5, over the past 16 years. I really like the Bosch ICON series. Specifically, ICON 20" 20OE, ICON 24" 24OE, and OE Specialty A380H.

OE bmw are the way to go. $50 or so for a set but they’re quiet and last longer than aftermarket.

+1 on the OEM BMW blades. Really good value in the long run
