List of all the maintenance I have done over the last ~8yrs. What else can I do?

I keep a detailed list of all repairs for all my cars.

This one is a 2008 X5 3.0si

Does anyone have recommendations for what else to consider for preventative maintenance?

For example, should have fixed the entire cooling system when my radiator went, but I didn't. Unfortunately all components ended up failing shortly after

More recently, the starter failed followed by the battery. I'd like to get certain things fixed so that I don't have to call a tow truck again

Thanks!

Quite an interesting list, I have a 2007 3.0 Si with 275,000 KM (171k Miles), If I had kept a list it would be almost the same for all the items that have failed/replaced on mine, with some additions:

- Front suspension - Tension Struts (was really the bushings but replaced the whole part)

- Rear Air Bags (Air Suspension), both failed within 6 months, should have replaced both when the first one failed
- Vertical Aim rear control sensor arm - it broke -likely was weakened when the air bag failed- and created a crazy error and one side was significantly lower than the other.
- Engine Partition (plastic) - 2 pieces on the sides (!) these crumbled when removing....

Some exceptions is that I have not serviced -yet- the front and rear differentials and still have original windshield....

If I had to do it again, yes, likely it would have been ideal to replace most of the coolant hoses when the radiator failed (and while there, replacing the water pump which failed ~1 yr later...)

Not sure this helps, can't think of other preventive stuff....

^ thanks, i agree with the coolant hoses, I wish i had also replaced them at the same time but didn't. Hopefully doesnt cause issues down the line. But replacing those is fairly easy anyway

Thankfully I also don't have rear air suspension nor turbo, so fairly plain vanilla set up

I did the rest of the coils yesterday and have the following projects in the pipeline (already have the parts)

1) valve cover gasket
2) rear brakes/rotors

3) front control arms

I want to add a fuel pump to the list as well, as i've had that fail in one of first e36s and had to get towed. This one is likely original still

I don't think the fuel pump is a common thing to fail in the E70. I might be wrong, but I think it's a different design like started with my wifes E83 and is almost unheard of to fail. Hope I don't regret saying that !

if you are doing Valve Cover, suggest to do the Oil Filter Housing Gasket (OFHG)

Large Disa? Was idle rough?

Expect the radiator and expansion tank to start leaking again soon.
