IVM is the first culprit with random voltage problem witg v8 that series.
Also one hint you gave is can be ignition switch.

Question though. Do the v8s x5 e70s have a IVM ? I cant seem to find a diagram or a picture of it for the v8s. I Know the 6cyl have them

How are your ground straps??? These can rot, create intermittent faults. Google 'e70 ground straps'... The bond between motor and chassis .... |

Ground straps
Hey there i just replaced all my ground straps but still no communication with dme ? I found that the dme fuses 35,36,42,43 are not getting power with key on.

Problem resolved guys
So after finally having some time last weekend to take a second look. I went right to the dme connectors and unplugged them one by one being careful to inspect both the connector and dme pins and boom 💥 found the issue on connector x60003 pin#27 was completely broken off and inside the connector. Pin#27 is the famous crank sensor signal. Thanks guys for the help guys 🙏
