I was so excited I forgot to post the photo's callout. Here it is...

After years of going without it, the X5 will finally get BMW's iDrive control system along with an interesting new transmission shifter.

Good, no double hump look and the cupholders looks better than the one in the E60 and E90 (the design in the E90 and E60 just does not work, especially with tall water bottles).

Also, I noticed the auto trans shift console looks like a joystick like the SMG shift knob. It looks like you will tap yourself from P-R-N-D.

The dash looks clean...hopefully they really clean up the iDrive interface with the E70. The iDrive can work well if they clean up the software interface.

You beat me to it. I saw this shot when I was leaving work and was going to post when I got home. Damn traffic.
iDrive is good and nav seems to have a sun shade.
