cue03 : there will obviously be a tow package.

KewlX5 was wondering whether the tow package would be a dealer installed item (as it is on E53) or added at the vehicle preparation centre prior to dealer delivery.

This affects pricing/negotiation/availability with dealer.

• Space Gray metallic replaces Sterling Gray metallic. This is the same Space Gray metallic that is available on the M5 and M6.

Strange I don't see space grey as a color option for the M5 at the BMW website. I wonder if its a similar color as silver grey.

Dammit! Panorama not standard?! I hate Prem Pkgs...except for the Roof...Maybe its not that important...Im liking this Bamboo Wood Trim though, and what does "Graphite" look like

Thanks for the info! The e60 is slowly fading away as an option...

for Europe it would be handy to know what other diesel powerplants are to be used. I can'r believe there won't be a 335d option. You can't put high power diesels in the 3 & 5 series and not put it into a flagship model - or will emissions regs limit this?

$54,500. With the exchange rate what it is, I'm moving to the states!!

The price over here will be double that. It's not fair.......

The next diesel will be a further evolution of the current 335 diesel. It is already announced for the new X3, it will be a delayed-availability option for the E70. The rumoured V8 diesel will likely arrive after that.

See the European BMW websites under X3 press releases for the details.
