New E70 X5 dealer Bulletin

I got this Product planning BMW dealer bulletin from my dealer. You probably know most information but I noticed some info is new when compared to other documents. Like the explaination of colors.

New Exterior Colors
• Platinum Bronze metallic replaces Kalahari Beige metallic. Platinum Bronze metallic is a light gold or champagne color. SOP for Platinum Bronze Metallic is 12/06.
• Space Gray metallic replaces Sterling Gray metallic. This is the same Space Gray metallic that is available on the M5 and M6.
• Mineral Green metallic replaces Olive Green metallic. Mineral Green Metallic is an understated green that has gray accents. SOP for Mineral Green Metallic is 04/07.
• Metallic Deep Green replaces Highland Green metallic. Metallic Deep Green is a dark forest green.
• Monaco Blue metallic replaces Toledo Blue metallic. This is the same Monaco Blue metallic that is available on the 5 Series.

See attached.

It says that the Automatic Tailgate has an SOP of 4/07
Oh well....we were hoping to get one of the early production ones, but the Automatic Tailgate option is a must for us, so I guess we have to wait until 4/07. The good thing about having to wait that long is that by that time all the colors (including Mineral Green) would be available.

Napa leather in black and sand beige will also be available SOP 04/07.
Automatic Tailgate (SOP 04/07)
High Definition Radio (SOP 04/07)
SOP for Mineral Green Metallic is 04/07.

Good things come to those who wait.

Yes, coming late next year or early 2008. I am more interested in that than anybody else. They are also working with ///M division on the badge but either its not decided or top secret.

You can always wait till April 2007 or I am sure there will be a way to retro-fit with some additional wiring.

I wonder if the tow package will still be a dealer or VPC installed option....Funny how there is no mention of a tow package for this BMW SUV....
