Experience or thoughts regarding "Adaptive Drive" ??
Anybody have experience or thoughts regarding "Adaptive Drive" ... also called "Active Roll Stabilization & Electronic Damping Control" (Option Code # 2VA) on the BMW 7 series ?? ... Some also called it "Dynamic Drive".
"Adaptive Drive" will also be available on the 2007 X5 E70 for the first time as Option Code # 2VA in the 'Sports Package' (USA) and in the 'Dynamic Handling Package' (Canada). Your comments would be greatly appreciated ! As per BMW Customer Service .... "Adaptive Drive is based on active stabilizers on the front and rear axles. Depending on the driving situation, the suspension response is sporty when cornering and relaxed when driving straight ahead. This system constantly acts within a fraction of a second while the car is on the move. This has the effect of minimizing the side tilt of your car and optimizes dynamic stability when cornering or taking evasive action. Also included in this option is the Electronic Damper Control (EDC) technology. EDC is a processor-controlled wheel suspension system that adjusts the shock absorbers to changing road or driving conditions. EDC regulates damper forces electronically, adapting to road, load and driving conditions. EDC allows you to choose between a comfortable ride or sporty handling."
