Welcome, Paul!
Your review has me thinking the active suspension would be nice to have. I'm a pretty moderate driver though, so I'm not sure I'd get the full benefit. By the way, how's the under-city tunnel coming in K-L?

incredible

this review is well-written and thorough -- great work paul

adaptive drive is a serious motivator to get an '07 -- certainly has me thinking about it -- but i do wonder how strange it would feel when the car body doesn't "respond" to cornering as expected on such a tall vehicle

Paul,

What are your thoughts on the Active Steering system? In Canada, if you order Adaptive Drive, you muct take the Active Steering (this doesn't appear to be so in the USA).

Also, can you comment on the ride quality of the X5 with Adaptive Drive, vs the Diesel unit you drove? I'm after good handling, but a comfortable ride if possible.

Finally, did you notice any tramlining with the 4.8?

Thanks,

grover
