The CEO dosn't care for mine so i doubt that she will see the point in embracing another. I did hear it rides smoother and that was the major thing she's doesnt like about mine ( Rides to rough). I did see the 07 X5's today at East Bay BMW and so far i'm not feeling it. The dash guages are reduced to two the window buttons for the driver are smaller. It seems to be of cheaper quality.

I don't know. Maybe it's just me but it doesn't have it in some way. Oh I'll give it another look. There's just something that leads me to feel I would be gettin less for much more money.

My wife likes the new X5. She test drove the 3.0si and is going to order it as soon as the 2008 come out (waiting for all the bugs to clear on 2007s). Trading in her 2002 325i. Hope that helps.

My wife saw it for the first time in the Nurburgring commercial at the movie theater. She said she thought it looked good, and really liked the idea of it being slightly bigger. She had 2 Acura MDX's before her 06 X5 3.0 and misses the extra cargo and seating space. Probably be a likely replacement when her lease is up.

Mine said "What's up with the front fenders?" They are made of composite now. Kind of flimsy feeling, not what you would expect on an X5.

Frankly, we expected more when we took an 07 4.8i out for a spin. I will hold on to my E53 thanks. Maybe, I'll even pickup a 4.8is with all options and call it a day. I do plan on supplementing the x5 with a 335i coupe blk/blk/spt/prem soon though.....

My wife doesn't like it. The bodywork was not impressive, the third row seats are all but unusable except by small children, and it looks more like a wagon than a "SAV." The interior is slightly better with more use of leather, and the glove box is bigger. But overall it's just not enough to make me or her replace our current 4.8is.

E53 are tanks, don't make the mistake of getting caught by one of the passenger doors. They modernized the X5, but there is some obvious cost cutting.

Maybe when I see a fully optioned sport with the 20's and aero kit I'll have a different impression. Judging by the consensus here the jury is still out.

There just doesn't appear to be a tidal wave of current "X5" owners running down to the dealership to place deposits on the E70. I doubt it will have the initial sales impact of the E90 coupe, both 335 and328 which I hear is sold out until January "07". I would endeavor to say that it won't have the lure that the E53 commanded when it was introduced either.

I was ready to take the plunge. Oh well.............
