Just put deposit........

Called in on my way past a BMW dealer in Solihull, UK. Spoke with the sales guy for some time regarding a new X5 3.0 diesel.
Here in the UK, SE models first, with Sport`s late `07.
As we`re talking about delivery times he says a customer of his was talking about taking an Audi Q7 instead of the X5 order. The X5 order was placed in December 2004, along with £1000 deposit !
Well, he rings the guy and he does`nt want the X5 now, so its now mine!
Delivery for around April `07. There is about a 12 month wait at the moment here in the UK, so my one should be one of the first.
Should be able to spec it in the next two weeks. Talk about being in the right place at the right time !
In the UK you will be able to order a Dynamic Package, which I think is similar to a Sport.
Is this correct ?
There will be an option late `07 of the twin turbo as of 535d etc...I plan on swopping for this one A.S.A.P
I`m in a ML320cdi at the moment, having come from two X5`sports previously. The ML is nice, (Mercedes dealers are NOT!!!) but it I look forward to getting back in the BM !

Congrats on your new purchase! Im sure youll be all smiles once you take possesion of your e70. Unfortunately, and it confuses the heck out of me, but I know of two people that abruptly cancelled e70 orders for Q7's. Maybe they just couldnt wait, or maybe they're just nuts. The rear half of that car makes me physically sick to look at, a-la the rear of the ML's...To each his own I guess..

I looked at the q7. Not bad. And I believe the third row actually has airbags unlike the X5
