? about new front and rear temperature control

Ok, I have a 05' X5 4.4i with the rear climate package. The controls for both the front and the back are pretty bad, imo. For example, although there is a temperature display and fan selector, there is still a cold/hot dial. I was wondering, for those of you who have test driven this new X5, how the new temperature control is. Thanks for your help!!

I believe the cold/hot dial is NOT a temp adjustment. It functions independently of the automatic climate control, and adjusts how much cold air from the outside is let in from the top vents. 3 dots blue is the most outside air, 3 dots red means little/no cold air from the outside is coming in. All it is, is a "outside cool air" adjustment.

I believe all new BMWs will continue to have this feature.

i like this feature... it's the quickest and easiest way to adjust the temperature.

but what i can't figure out... is why did they get rid of it in the new model BUT leave it in the rear passenger compartment????

This Cost/Warm "Feature" is still here in the Front but you control it with the I-Drive Menu. I have a new 5 and this is the way it works.
