There are lots of rumours, and it is a logical change for the E70 as the torque curve makes a lot of sense for the heavier X5.

I haven't seen any dates yet, but the X3 may be first, given that the high output diesel is now offered in Europe.

It may be offered when the high output V8 is made available, in late 2007 or 2008 (all dates are just guesses until we see an official release).

I also heard that a twin turbo 4.8 will be the next motor offered. I think the 2008 model year is the target for that ride.

Rumours, Rumours what would we do without them. Also a rumour that there is a new 4.4 turbo cranking 400 HP+, 400Ft/tourque planned for the X5 in 2008. Also powering the 7 series.

The bi-turbo is coming. We just don't know when. Probably for 08. Also coming are diesels and a turbo V-8 with 500hp. I would wait.

That's what I heard! Not a twin turbo on the 4.8, a twin turbo on a 4.4. Thanks for setting me straight Denalio.

No hybrid. At least not in the foreseeable future.
Edit: I see you're in Europe. Europe may get the hydrogen version before the US
