Rear Climate Pkg WILL NOT come with the shades??

When the factory sent two demo's to each dealers, they did have the shades But none of the other cars will have a shade until April, 07. Possibly one on the ebay is the one of two demo's

if you got the car now, and didnt get the rear sunshades, could the dealer install it when it does come out?

That's possible but it will be little $$$$

My dealer stated that they could not be added at dealer level but did offer to tint rear windows because of the BMW deletion. You can now get them not as part of the Rear Climate system but as a separate $250 option.

another car with rear blinds. they cost $700 but it seems to be an a la carte option.

I think that's a demo.

Rear shades will be a $250 option starting with 7/07 production. My dealer showed me the notice from BMW.

I had them in my 2001 X5 3.0 and will not miss them in my 2007 X5 4.8 model.

I guess my passengers might have liked them but hey... I did order the rear heated seats and climate package. )
