who else hates the black rear bumper?

i think it only looks good if u want a black x5. do u think they will change to body color the following year?

We have covered this subject already,but to answer your question...
pretty much everyone! looks cheap,unfinished,and unacceptable for a vehicle in that price range. My guess is that it's an intentional move on BMW'S part that will be rectified with the facelift. (it's sad that's all they can come up with, for example the x3).What is really frustrating is that the early adopters of this product end up paying full sticker (for the most part) for probably the worst looking version of the E70'S life cycle.That is why I am getting the aero-kit installed and in the process forking over more of my hard erned cash.BASTARDS!!!!

Hopefully pics of the M-sport pac will be out soon. That would cure the problem with the black plastic.

Canamax5 - Couldnt have said it better myself - the only option we're left with us doesnt offer much comfort in the end .... again well said - its the truth isnt it

I actually like it. I tow- and the bumper on the current X5 (a white one) is continually getting scratched and nicked no matter how careful I am. They nicks don't show on the black portion of the bumper.
