E70 v8 biturbo - 4.8is replacement

Any chance of more news (or pics of the test veh.) on this top of the line X5 before X'mas? How come there is no show of any test mule pics of this SAV while photos of camouflaged X6 are already all over the place? Btw, does anyone know whether the 4.8si (i.e. the one with the v8 bi-turbo) is expected to be released in Sept 07?

What do you think BMW is going to name this top of the line X5? According to rumors, this vehicle is going to have a 4.4L v8 bi-turbo. Do you think they are going to call it 4.4si? 5.0si? 4.4bt? It seems that it is unlikely to be called a 4.4si since it doesn't sound right because of the current 4.8i. What do you think?

I have no idea what they might call twin turbo car, but I am guessing we have not seen it because it would not look any different than the new E70 plus or minus an areo kit. So maybe we have!? Only time shall tell if such car will happen. The true answer may be found in the power plant of the new F01 seven series.

weird. bmw who were all about N/A engines is now suddenly going turbo. conversely, Mercedes/AMG which were all about blown/turbo'd engines are now going N/A. go figure?

Hope they keep that tradition...
but MB-AMG uses those huge ass 6.3L V8 for more power...so
I guess BMW will have to make twin-turbo like Porsche or a huge V8 like AMG did with their ML-Class SUVs

///M has had a number of traditions that they have changed. For example, in the past all ///M cars had to have a manual transmission. Now they are offered in Auto and SMG.
