off the wall question. would bmw install a

bullitt proof windshield if i wanted one. just the windshield. about how much would it cost me? reason being the other night a deer hit me while driving my 05 mustang gt 2 blocks from my house. there is a least one dead deer a week when i go by this road. we'll it happened to me this time but the deer didnt dead when i looked back about 10 minutes later. i was lucky and hit it right at my left fender. if i hit it dead center who knows maybe it would have gone on top off my hood and though my windshield and killed me. i have heard and seen many pictures of this accident. i know the x5 is a taller then a mustang but anything is possible. i was just thinking of this tonight.

They make an X5 E53 "Security Vehicle":

"Coupled with the very latest security technology, the BMW X5 Security provides you with all the benefits of a Sports Activity Vehicle. This bodyguard comes with the intelligent xDrive all-wheel drive system and it fulfils the safety requirements of ballistic level B4. Safety glass, heavy-duty material and ballistics-resistant steel guarantee maximum security in critical situations."

Whoops, the link doesn't go straight to the right page. You have to select X5 and then choose "Security". No idea about the "new product".

Sorry to hear about your accidents, but why do you want bullet proof glass? Are the hunters shooting at you when you run into their game? Either way, maybe you should take another road, this one sounds too dangerous...
