X5Boston is on a distinguished road
My 4.8i is delayed
Just got off the phone with my salesperson and he told me my 4.8i is in production but delayed. He says he will call me back on what option is causing the hold up. Mine was supposed to be a late December build with early to mid-January delivery.

Anyone waiting on theirs?

Well, finally getting closer to getting my E70. My dealer tells me they can put a "factory rush" on the order and get it to me early to mid-March. Since I paid for sunshades but that option got deleted, I will ask if they can substitute the USB port to compensate.

good news. My E70 is at the dealer. Incredibly fast delivery, produced last monday, which was the 5th of February. I will probably pick it up next Monday.

That's good news, X5Boston! Hopefully not too much longer!

TrueX5er- Very cool! Ours was finished 2/8 and we are in Ohio so hopefully that means it won't be too long before it's here! The BMW NA hotline still says it's "waiting to be released to the carrier" though. Getting excited!

If you are checking online, that is pretty outdated. That's what it said for me, and it's obviously not true! Yours should arrive any day now!
I'll take delivery and post pics on Monday, I think.

Very excited for you TrueX5er and all others who are close to receiving their vehicle.
I think we will all have a lot more pics to see soon....!
Mine still has status 50 and its been a week ( in prod ) but an email has been sent to distribution to find out the updated status....anxious wait !!!

TrueX5er- Yes, the online tracker actually says it's still "scheduled for production". The 1-800 # for BMW NA seems to be more accurate and that's the one that says the X5 is waiting to be released to the carrier.

330i2X5- Hopefully not too much longer for you as well!!
